Initial screen shows more protection than I have apparently!

Wendy,
I apologize for the delayed reply. I can understand your frustration.
I would like to inform you that AVG Anti-Virus have access to all the features of Internet Security.
Also, if your Email Account was hacked, it is because of your e-mail provider - Example: low security of server, leaked password etc. It is recommended to use long password and 2-step authentication if available by your e-mail provider.

I have purchased AVG for a number of years and run a weekly Computer Scan.  I launch the product from the icon and the first screen shown says "AVG Internet Security" in top left hand corner and across the middle are 5 boxes each detailing the items protected. (Computer / Web & Email / Hacker Attacks / Private Data / Payments) Each has a green tick by it.  Text also says "You are fully protected"

SO on the basis of WYSIWYG over the years I thought that I was protected from all the items shown.

Then I was the victim of an email hacker attack 2 weeks ago and once this was sorted I contacted AVG to advise them that this attack had slipped through the protection.  At this point I was informed that I had not purchased AVG Internet Security just Anti Virus and therefore was not actually protected at all (but of course I could be if I paid extra for an upgrade!!)

I am furious to say the least!  Surely the product screen should display the name of the product that you have purchased and if there are items that you have not purchased protection for then these should be either not be shown, shown with a large red cross (not a green tick!) or 'grayed out'???

Needless to say I am seeking alternative solutions but thought that other AVG purchasers should be aware of this deception on the part of AVG.
