Initialisation error: 0xe001003e

Dear AVG,
Every time I logon I get a small (split second) black box on my screen with the message
"Server initialisation failed with an error: 0xe001003e" and then it's gone.  My computer appears to be running okay but when Googling the above I find references to the fault being with my AVG download which I have redone several times as a precaution.

Can anyone suggest anything?
