Inline Hook Virus

Hi All.

I uninstalled the previous version of AVG. I installed the new, free version of AVG. The new version caused my machine to run like a snail, so I uninstalled that. I ran HijackThis, and found no viruses, so I'm chalking it up to a false positive and leaving the free version of AVG removed from my machine. I'll figure out some other protection that doesn't bollux up the speed of my machine.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions / guidance.

Hi Gillian,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. Could you please share us a  screenshot of the Threat pop up, so that we can check and help you. Please click on the link to show how to create a screenshot : http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV
Also, please tell us the version of AVG you are using in your computer. Is it a free or paid version? Thank you.

I'm getting the following virus detections (medium-threat) like others have posted:
Inline hook ntoskrnl.exe (then a bunch of bologna after that)

How do I eliminate these? All three begin the same way as noted above.

Gillian, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
