I performed an AVG uninstall and then an avgclear. after a re-install of AVG free, it appears to be functioning properly now. BTW locating the menu option to perform a weekly scan was very difficult to find. Had to click the 3 dots to the right of the run smart scan button to get to it.

If you try to insert a desktop snapshot in a bug report, you get a pop up window that will ONLY accept a URL beginning with http: How/when will you EVER have a desktop snapshot that has an http: address?!?!?!?

the problem I'm reporting is I am not allowed to insert an image in a report, so there is no way for me to provide a snapshot that you are asking for. I'm trying to report several issues but without the option to insert a snapshot. I can't provide a visual image for you to see of either issue. your website support tea needs to look at and fix this image insertion problem before I can show you the problem. BTW I know how to create a desktop snapshot.
We apologize for the inconvenience, Bert.
We've sent you an email. Please attach the screenshot(s) of the message(s) you're referring to, as a reply to that email.
