Hi Tom,
It is normal that second scan is mutch shorter because it doesn't scan files which are same from previous scan with same version of virus databse.
Thanks

Tried to install AVG free version 2015 on my laptop which already had prevous version of AVG free version. It downloaded and when it tried to install it got half way through and just stopped. I tried again and then it said I had to restart my computer, which I did. Several times and finally gave up. I uninstalled the previous version of AVG and then installed the 2015 AVG free version. I ran a scan and when I looked at the report it said "Scan interupted." I didn't interupt it, I waited until it stoped scanning. I decided to run another C: scan and see wha result would be.
I show the following, which shows three scans. You will see the first one was for 47 minutes. The next two specific scans (C:) show only 3 minutes. Why would one scan be for 47 minutes and the next two be for only 3 minutes (for C: drive)?
Or am I (a novice) confusing something?
P.S. It is so difficult for me to find out how to post these questions. I keep going from one AVG site to another, before I finally arrive at this correct page.
