Installation / Activation of AVG AntiVirus

Thank you for contacting us with your concerns and we regret to hear about the inconvenience caused with AVG installation. From you description, you seem to have installed a multidevice program of AVG which does not need a license number to activate it. It is the reason you are not seeing an Activate or Reactivate option in the menu.

I have been going round in circles for the last 11 days, trying to download and activate my AVG antivirus software.  I ended up with downloading multiple copies in trying to fine the means of activating. 

I was grateful, this morning, to receive my requested 'Idiot Sheet' to 'talk' me through to activation.
"Double Click on the AVG icon, bottom right of the screen. NO sign on anything to do with Options, nothing to lead me Activate. I am still stuffed!

Over the last eight (8) days l have sadly been downright rude in my contacts with AVG Support. They obviously completely ignore any untoward comments, or pleas for assistance.

Do l read correctly that l can cough up $20.00 and get it done remotely. It's a fat lot of good buying the software and l can't work out how to correctly install and activate it.

Do l have to revert to Internet Explorer as my preferred browser? I never use it. Google Chrome has been my long term preference.

AVG have left me far behind and l am ata total loss. 

Should l Uninstall the AVG files, if it will let me, reboot - and then reinstall (again) and hope to get the
programme(s) going.

Can you explain a workable process to me.  AGV is a very comprehensive site and l find given advise at odds with what l neen do do.
