Installation box disappears in the middle

The operating system of this computer is Windows 10 Professional, Traditional Chinese edition, with latest update.
(Further input: I made several attempts over the past year or two, persistently failed, so it should not be an issue with Windows update version.  My another computer at home is under the same operating system, where AVG Free has been running perfectly well, so it should not be an issue with language edition.)

Hello everyone.  I have some troubles installing AVG antivirus free, so I'd like to consult here.

No antivirus has been installed with this computer before.  As the computer has been unreasonably slow, now I'm trying to install AVG to conduct a complete scan, but the installation status is abnormal:

- In normal mode, the installation box runs to about 50% and then the box simply disappears.  I load the installer again and then the installation box doesn't appear at all.

- I turn to safe mode (with web), uninstall the app with AVG Antivirus Clear, and install the antivirus again.  It looks better, with the installation box running to about 50% and a prompt for system reboot appears.  I click OK, but after reboot (no matter into safe mode with web or into normal mode), the installation doesn't appear to continue.

Now, the menu at bottom right-corner doesn't have AVG actively running.  No progress by reloading AVG installer.  In Task Manager these are running: AVG Antivirus, AVG remediation exe, AVG Service.

Is there anything wrong with my steps, or anything wrong with my computer (e.g. already infected with viruses)?  How shall I solve the troubles?  Thanks a lot!!
