Installation error for AVG Free

Hi! I have exactly the same problem. All this after I had upgraded to windows 10. I had the AVG antivirus 2014 not the free one. Waiting for watchdog service start failed . I do not now what to do anymore. My antivirus is still valid and I can not use it? I have followed all the steps you said but still the same error. I do not understand.Tank you!

Hello Hoàng. I certainly understand your issue. I would request you to follow the below mentioned instructions:

1) First step is to use AVG Remover tool and uninstall your AVG program completely. To download AVG Remover Tool please click on the following link:For 32-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x86_2015_5501.exe
For 64-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501.exe
2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.

I was getting an unrecognized product key and couldn't find my key, so I un-installed and tried to re-install. I got an error "Waiting for watchdog service start failed" error: 0xC0070426

There are severa files in the log dated today. Which one to I paste here? Thanks.

Hello Rick, you will receive this "watchdog service" error message when you have installed any other antivirus to your computer or the previous antivirus program components would have not completely removed. I would request you to check for any other antivirus program installed in your computer if you find any please uninstall it and try installing AVG antivirus program.
