We understand it is disappointing when you are receiving error during installation.
Have you installed any older version of AVG program or any other security software like McAfee in computer?
If so, please uninstall it before proceed with the installation.

AVG Ultimate multiple devices, 1 year license
Windows 10/64
Bought the software yesterday and today I installed on Windows 10. I got
! Installation failed
Error code: 0xE001F946
Description: Event exec_finished
What is it? How to solve it?

my computer configuraion is,
1. Intel Pentium 3258 cpu, 12gb ram, 1tb hdd
2. Windows 7/64
3. Microsoft Security Essential installed, no other anti virus software
the steps are:
1. uninstall Microsoft Security Essential
2. install AVG Ultimate on the computer and do registration
3. do a scan, everything good
4. upgrade to Windows 10/64, failed, try it 2nd time, failed
5. uninstall all 3 AVG entries in Control Panel
6. upgrade to Windows 10/64, successful
7. now the system is a Win 10, install AVG Ulrimate, failed, try it 3 times, failed, results are same, error code 0xE001F946
