May I know whether you are trying to install AVG Antivirus free or trial or paid version?
Run AVG removal tool followed by AVG clear tool as mentioned (here) to remove AVG traces.
NOTE: If there are no AVG program traces, click on "Run Anyway" to proceed with the removal.
Try to install AVG Antivirus and keep us informed about the status.

Good day
Please assist, I am trying to install paid version AVG Antivirus, after entering the licence number it then comes up with Installation Failed. Description: General error (0x0406); Error code - 0xE0010406
