Hello Rene,

We regret for the inconvenience caused. It is a known issue.

We have to remove the old traces completely from your computer and install it again.

So we you have to run a remover tool, please use this link to download the remover tool http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe

Run the file and click on run any way, if it doesn't show any products.

For AVG Clear tool, use this link https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe

Run the file and when you get AVG clear window loading, you will get a prompt with Yes and No option. Click on "No" and then select "Uninstall" to proceed with the removal.

Restart the PC when the prompt appears and then install AVG again.

Let us know, the status of the issue.

The software after running a few days crashes when it is launched. after reinstallation the same phenomenon reproduces.
This product is very unstable no comparison with older versions.
Can you advise me?

On win XP SP3,
After launching : AVG_Performance_823.exe
The download is done normally but the installation crashes at the end of the installation.
 ""Echec de l'installation
   Erreur 0xE0010190 erreur generale (0x0190)""

I have another computer of the same configuration on which the installation proceeded without any problem.
Can you help me ?

The link "AVG_Performance_823.exe" is for the latest version of AVG where as the one we gave is suitable for Windows XP SP3 computers.

I have download the file to install AVGtuneup instead of AVGperformance
The installation of AVGTuneup  proceeded without any problem.
Can you tell me what exactly is the différence between these two software ?
