Brian, One difference between Win 7 & Win 10 is with Windows Defender. On Win 7 it's classified as an anti-spyware prog whereas with Win 10 it was re-classified as an AntiVirus prog which can conflict with AVG. It should be disabled during the AVG install process.

I have a persistent installation problem on an Asus laptop running Windows 10
Message code 0xe001c00d is being returned for both the protestion and performance installs.
Have tried rebooting followed by install again
Have tried uninstall, then reboot and install
Installed successfully on main Window 7 PC with no issues.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
I have tried the remover.exe file. Unfortunately the issue remains.
I await further advice.
