thanks Alan, i chase the "active" route and after i put mmy product number it kicked off the acrtivation of the tune up and gave me abililty to do the maintenance.

i am so upset with the initial support to get avg tuneup installed. i bought the package, followed instructions to install up to the point of hitting 'run' and saving file. after that no prompts as to what to do next. i found the download file and tried to run it. it came back with a panel that said i was trying to uninstall it. i don't consider myself a computer dummy but in this case i feel like one. i'm diappointed with the fact no one answer my email and that you can't talk to anyone unless you pay $20 for help. what kind of customer support is this?
