Hi there. I had the 32 bit version on my laptop, uninstalled it, downloaded the 64 bit version, put it in the 64 bit "Program" directory (not the "86Program" dir) reinstalled and Task Manager continues to show that it's the 32 bit version I've installed. I have done this process 3 times thinking I might have been doing something wrong to no avail. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thanks.
Rick,
All drivers and processes that scans your computer are 64 bit x64 files, only UI and some non essential parts are 32 bit x86 files.
Hello Rick,
I appreciate your patience. Please be informed that 32bit version can't be installed on 64bit OS and vice-versa.
The reason for having both 32 and 64bit processes in 64bit Windows is that not all apps are running in 64bit.
To scan them effectively we have to use 32bit processes as well.
Thank you.
