Installed avg2015 and now I can't restart my computer

Installed avg2015 and now I can't restart my computer. I loaded avg2015.  It began to load properly and then said updates were coming in.  Then it said restart and since then my desktop and mouse is frozen.  I tried safe mode and there is no change.  I tried loading my W7 disc and it will not finish when I restart.  Would it help to reload avg 2015?  HELP!  Thank you,  Allan
