I've got a windows 10 system. The exact error message is Description: Event exec_finished.  The installation runs to about 96%.  Have tried the AVG_Remover_en and AVG_BFEfix to no avail. The removal tool fails to run. Rebooted numerous times during attempting to install and remove to no avail. I've tride the AVG remover 2015 as well but I've got the same message.
