To install AVG antivirus 2016, after using the 2015 version, I was instructed to first uninstall the 2015 version with the uninstall tool then install the new version (which first was downloaded to the PC to have an offline installation). The uninstall was running for more then an hour with 3 restarts on the way.
It is a shame for time consuming, as other uninstalling programs take minutes.
Then started (offline) to install the new 2016 antivirus, this action ran for more then two hours !!, at such period of time could partition a disk and install a new Op system.
While the installation was running, the message about downloading the update was still on screen - please remember that the installation was offline ! so there was nothing to download.
Finally at last, after 2.5 hours got a message that the installation failed. I took a screenshot and made a log report.
However, on the screen there was the AVG icon so I double-clicked on it, surprise ! the program was installed, just had to update the virus definitions, connected online and made the update and now it is running.
I do not know why such an installation takes so much time, an Op system installation takes less time.

NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.
