I have recently purchased this tablet but am constantly informed that AVG Free is currently unavailable when attempting to download the Free version. Is it just Amazon stopping me downloading a version that is not in their store or does AVG not work on this tablet?

Yes, you can install the AVG Free in your Tablet.
