Akash,
Thank you for your prompt reply.   The instructions in the link you provided were done by us 8-10 times with no positive result.  Next?

After executing the supplied script, my terminal responds with:
/Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/components/fileshield/signed/AVGFileShield.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) system policy prevents loading; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).
/Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/components/proxy/signed/AVGPacketForwarder.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) system policy prevents loading; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).

Any suggestions?

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for choosing AVG.

The System extension needs to be allowed in order to complete the installation. Here is an article with the steps: Allow AntiVirus extensions macOS High Sierra

I am a long time AVG customer.  A friend has been using Kaperski for MAC and needs to switch Virus Protection S/W.   We uninstalled Kaperski per their uninstall utility (in fact did it twice just to be sure).  Now trying to install AVG for MAC we get a message about extensions need to be authorized in MAC OS preferences.  We have clicked on the ALLOW button 8-10 times per the instructions from AVG.  Sometimes with the LOCK on and sometimes with the LOCK off.   No dice!   Still will nor complete the install and allow usage of the S/W.

Hi Brendan,

Since we're not sure which steps/instructions Jeff followed on his Mac, we provided him with the article. Please follow the steps I've provided in the above post and check if that resolves the issue for you.

Did you even read the OP's post? Clicking the "allow" button isn't working. I'm having the same problem. The directions in your article do not work.

Hello Arun,

I understand the situation.
Let me check this with our senior team and get back to you.
Your patience is much appreciated.

Hi Jeff,

Sorry to hear that the issue still persists, I request you run this script from Terminal and then try allowing the extension. If the issue persists, please provide me with a screenshot of the Terminal Window.
