Many thanks for your help, I finally contacted apple support and they assisted in clearing the problems allowing me to continue with installation.

If the message says as Kaspersky still installed then the traces is present on your computer.
We request you to find the traces and remove it completely from your Mac.
Please let us know the status of the installation.
I have uninstalled Kaspersky AV from my computer but when I try to install avg the installer says kaspersky is still installed. Does anybody have any ideas.
