Installing AVG Free on Windows XP SP(2) system

Bert, WinXP requires SP3 & SSE2. Have a look @ this AVG article (http://avgread.me/1Ewajhi).

Ran AVG_Remover- 2 restarts then done.
Ran installation program Antivirus_Free_1896.exe.
Windows Error Message:
avgsetup.exe Application Error
The exception Illegal Instruction (0x000001d) …
at location 0x0382cfd6.

Sorry, AVG can be installed on devices which has Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP SP3. Hope, this helps: http://www.avg.com/us-en/free-antivirus-download. Thank you for your understanding.
