Sorry to know that you have issues in installing AVG.
Have you removed all the traces of AVG using remover tool before tried with the installation?
If not, please download and run AVG remover tool through http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe and remove all the traces of AVG.
Please try with the installation again through http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/Antivirus_Free_1817.exe

Every time I download and run the installer, I get error code 0xe001f98d with directions to remove the previous version then try to reinstall. I attempted do delete the previous AVG version but it didn't solve the problem. Does anyone have any ideas about how to solve this?
