I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused. I would request you to visit http://www.avg.com/tools#tba2 and click on "AVG Remover" to download the remover tool and run it on your PC. It will ask you to select which product you would like to uninstall. Please select "AVG Protection" and follow the setup instructions. I'm having difficulty installing AVG Antivirus Free. I've never had any trouble installing the program before, but this latest version doesn't seem to like my computer. 
I've tried several times, but the install always fails in the last few percentage and it gives me Error: 0xc0070643.
I've made sure to uninstall and remove all previous versions of AVG and there are no other firewalls or antivirus programs running to interfere with the installation. I would appreciate any advice.

I've done this and, unfortunately, the program still won't install. I've tried uninstalling the previous program through the AVG Remover and through the Control Panel, as well. I've run a registry cleaner on the system and restarted the computer between each step. So far, I'm still getting the same error.
