Installing AVG Password Protection

Ricky,

Sorry for the trouble, we request you to repair AVG Internet Security and restart AVG services to fix the issue. Go to C: drive -> Programs Files (x86) -> AVG -> Setup -> avgsetupx-> click on it, choose repair option if it prompts.

Check whether you have logged in using your email address and restart the device to check with the issue. If the issue persists, go to run command, type " services.msc ".  Restart the services named AVG Antivirus, AVG Firewall and AVGbIDSagent. We are here if you  need further help.

Hi Ranjani & Balasubramanian,

Ever since I restarted my computer, the AVG Password Protection runs automatically without having any problem. Seems the restart method simply works perfectly in my case.
Thank you for your help. In case I find other problems in the future I may refer to your solutions (repairing the installation and logout - login method).

Thank you.

Cheers.

I purchase AVG Password Protection on 12 December, but find it too difficult to install it for the first time. Whenever I go to AVG Zen where I can find status for AntiVirus, PC Tuneup, VPN, and Password Protection and select the Password Protection, it always redirects me to a new screen where I have to buy it, although it has been confirmed that I have already bought the products (from the invoice and status of my purchased products). I have consulted to support page on how to install AVG Password Protection and there is no single clue on how to resolve this issue. Pardon my English.

Side note: it always bothers me whenever I open a tab associated with AVG, I always have to re-sign in although I have signed in multiple times before. Could this be an issue?

Thanks.

Hello Ricky,

I understand the inconvenience.
Please try reactivating steps and check AVG Password Protection is getting activated.
Open AVG Zen interface, click on email address and select "Leave this network".
Click on "connect" and select "Log into existing account" for entering AVG my account credentials.
Wait for 2-3 minutes to check whether it activates Password Protection.
Keep us informed about the status.
