I am sorry to hear that you are unable to install the AVG Internet Security on your Mac. To troubleshoot the issue, please follow the instructions and check :
1.Check whether AVG Internet Security installed (click Finder -> applications and check)

2.If not, follow below instructions to delete AVG Internet Security traces using below instructions, restart the computer and reinstall AVG Internet Security
- On Apple menu bar select Go > Computer > Macintosh
- Please go to location or type /Library/Application Support/ and hit the enter key
- Locate and delete AVG HUB and AVG Antivirus folder.
- Also delete AVG from your computer trash folder
- Reboot computer and AVG should be removed.

even though i do not have any evidence of avg antivirus on my mac, the installer is saying that there is an older version on the mac already. i have used the avg uninstaller ,but that can not find avg products or the avg antivirus software, i have used time machine to personnelise the installation of the OS.
