Hello Ranjani

I have actually done what you suggested, drawing the Account Setting to NEVER NOTIFY. Yet, upon rebooting the system…and when I click on to the downloaded .exe file from AVG…nothing happens!
I don't even get a pop-up to proceed with.

I have also tried using the AVG Remover. However, even after using the Remover, I still see AVG 2014 sitting in my Control Panel. That gives me the impression it was NOT removed.

Please advise as to how I should go about it? Thanks

Robbin

Hello Robbin,
Thank you for your explanation, I am sorry to know that you are facing issues with the installation of your AVG programs. I would suggest you to perform the below instructions before installing AVG. We need to disable your UAC by Access User Control Panel from - Start Menu - Control Panel - User Accounts and Family Safety - User Account. Then Click on User Account Control settings link and move the Slider to Never Notify, now click OK to make the change effective. Reboot your device and proceed with the  installation. If you face any difficulties, please get connected with our technical support via this link https://support.avg.com/support_tech_chat . Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG.Thank you!

Hi

I am unable to install the above 2 programs. Here are some details that might be helpful for you, to resolve my challenge:

I have in the PC…an expired AVG Anti-Virus 2014, that sits in my Control Panel
I have actually purchased the above 2 applications (for 3 PCs) which both expire in 2018
However, I have only installed the above 2 applications in 2 of my other PCs
I have not attempted to install the applications into this 3rd PC until today
And now, having downloaded the application files…
Whenever I tried to trigger the .exe files, the only thing that responds was a request for me to enter the PC Administrator password…to allow alterations to my PC
Nothing happens after the password has been entered and accepted

Please provide some guidance. TQ

Robbin
