After opening my AVG -to run my daily scan- the interface looks different.
Normally after starting the scan the process follows four steps. Now I just see two steps being processed. The browser scan and the virus/malware scan are running, but the other two scans are not visible and I'm also not sure if they ran in the background. 
Does anyone know whats going on with my AVG?

Simon, could you clarify if you are experiencing this issue on a Mac or Windows device?
I'd like to inform that the smart scan basically scans for browser threats and Virus/Malware. The other two components are scan for possible threats to recent documents and scan for performance issues.
Scan for virus in recent documents is taken care by Ransomware Protection and Sensitive Data Shield in AVG Internet Security. Scan for Performance issues is like a trial for AVG TuneUp. If you have AVG TuneUp installed on your PC, this scan will not run during smart scan.

You have an active subscription for AVG Ultimate which includes AVG TuneUp. We believe AVG TuneUp is installed and activated on your PC.

So what i do is i click on the avg icon on my desktop and then press 'run scan'. Its the smart scan i'm running. Usually i can see four steps, now just two (browser and virus/malware).

For example whats missing is a scan of possible threats to recent documents. 

I think i have a recent version since we keep up to date with updates.

So maybe did something change in the smart scan recently?
