Hello Gary,
We are glad to clarify it.
With broadband connections, many people have fixed IP addresses that can be tracked when browsing sensitive sites. With a VPN connection, the browsing session is effectively anonymized - the IP address the remote server sees is the address of the VPN server, not the user.
During this process, AVG Secure VPN will not collect any tracking info from the user. It will just mask the IP address from others access.
I've recently heard that some VPN apps, while providing anonymity, also track their user. Do you know if AVG VPN tracks my internet activity? And if it does, do you know if the tracking info is used by AVG/Avast and/or sold to outside entities?
