Internet connection interrupted

Hi I seem to be having intermittent issues when AVG VPN is on with connecting to the internet.  If I turn it off, it seems to connect fine.  If I have it turned on, I receive the message Internet connection interrupted.  Is there a setting that I need to review?  Thanks!
