My AVG protection had expired on my old laptop and I have 3 PC cover available from my new laptop purchase so decided to move to a rival product. Could not un-install expired AVG 2012 from windows vista via the control panel. Therefore after many attempts I looked it up and downloaded AVG sef extractor. This removed all the AVG files but now the internet doesn't work so I can't activate my new virus software product on my old laptop. Any help would really be appreciated before I tear my hair out and throw my old laptop out the window. It seems rather convenient for AVG that all these problems occur when you uninstall their product; starting to wonder if it's a deliberate sales ploy…

In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) and please add detailed description of issue.
