Zamir,  we have to make some configuration in your AVG firewall in order to get this issue resolved.

Please follow the below steps to configure the firewall:

Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> Components -> firewall -> customize -> system rules -> make sure all the task has been enabled

Again, Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> change all the profiles from public to Private.

I've been having internet connectivity issues (wired connection) ever since I installed AVG AntiVirus FREE and I didn't think this might be the issue but I was on the Microsoft website for assistance and saw that one of the questions that the agent asked was 'what antivirus software are you using?' so I thought I'd come here and check to see if anyone would be able to help because my internet has been dropping on me throughout all times of the day and it's really been ever since I installed AVG.

I've restarted my router and PC, gone through network troubleshooting (which fixes it temporarily, until it happens again at some point) and checked to see if there were any newer drivers for my network adapter (there aren't).

I'd appreciate some help with this!

I don't have any of that. I'm not using AVG Internet Security, I'm using AVG AntiVirus FREE. I can go to Settings > Components and then I don't have Firewall.

Yes, Zamir. AVG Antivirus free doesn't have firewall features. 

Are you able to access Internet without any issues if AVG is temporarily disabled? 

Right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock, click on toggle bar to turn off your Protection.
