Hi, Within the last two days, IE8 became inoperative. On start, it would come up briefly and then close immediately. It runs with Add Ons disabled. But crashes with AVG Security Toolbar add-on enabled. For some reason, there are two identical items listed under Add-on management for AVG Security Toolbar, both dated 1/25/2016. If I enable one, the other is also enabled. I know that IE was running okay on 2/23/2016. So, this has me puzzled.
AVG version 2013.0.3553
AVG Security Toolbar version: 19.2.0.326
I also have FireFox browser, which is working fine.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Warren
I followed the steps you provided. Internet Explorer is working fine now… and AVG is updated to the current version, and also working well.
Thank you for your quick response and good guidance !!!
