Thank you for taking the time to use the AVG Community! My Name is Kenza, i am a AVG Guru on this community and also a AVG Partner.
I am going to help you with your issue so that you can get up and running quickly!
The first thing to do seens as you are a new user is to convert your Sales Number to a License number so that your year starts ticking down as sales numbers are only valid for two weeks,
If i could ask you to head over to http://www.avg.com/gb-en/registration (if you click the link it will open in a new window/tab so you don't have to find your way back to this post) and enter the sales number you was sent in the order confirmation e-mail and follow the steps.
After you have got your license number if you open AVG and at the top right Click "Options -> Activate" then enter your license number and click okay your AVG will be fully activated.
If you do not see Options -> Activate if you instead go to "Options -> About AVG -> License and Support -> Reactivate / Activate" then enter your license key and hit OK that will also activate AVG for you.

Why am I unable to activate the new internet security with the new licence number. I have followed all instrction to the letter, but it will not activate. Should i uninstall and re-install, hoping it will then work? My cover ran out today 19/02/2015, and i now have no security, thanks to this happening!
