Background
I purchased Internet Security (order 701-6712063) this last week. On installing there was an AVG incompatibility issue with current AVG Products already installed (I have PCTUNEUP order 701-5909467). I purchased the Internet Security to upgrade from the licensed AVG Antivirus that was due to renew. I uninstalled all AVG items and reinstalled Internet Security successfully (or so I thought).
PERFORMANCE PROBLEMS
PCTUNEUP worked up until Internet Security Installation, but does not work now and I cannot see install PCTUNEUP at all in MyAVGAccount . I understand that there is major upgrade to MyAccount Subscription and hopefully this will resolve and enable me to reinstall my PCTUNEUP.
CONFLICT between CHROME BROWSER AND INTERNET SECURITY
Had I known this was an issue that I discovered here in the AVG Community today I would have immediately questioned whether it was wise to purchase the Internet Security product. I now have the same problem - I cannot use the Chrome browser since Internet Security was installed. (I have uninstalled and reinstalled Internet Security without success the browser issue remains.)
REFUND REQUEST
I have completed a refund request with a compromise that Internet Security be abandoned (2yr license) and that Antivirus Unlimited and PCTuneUp Unlimited be offered as a replacement.
I have been a loyal AVG customer for years and have remarked that both Sales and Technical Support are not good at the moment, but I do acknowledge there is a major upgrade occurring.
Will await reply to Refund Request, but at the moment I am not so confident that Sales and Tech Support can resolve my issues. I have just spent over $100 AUD for Internet Security and my December last year PCTuneUp product $45 AUD these are both substandard in performance/non-performance.
Can the issues above be resolved within please.
