Hi Nikki,
We appreciate your efforts & technical knowledge in working towards fixing the issue by referring our help articles, forum posts.
Initially, please let us know the operating system & version of AVG that is installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About).
Meanwhile, please disable each AVG component individually to identify the shield that is causing the issue & let us know to proceed accordingly.
your link is not helpful - it had a thing about not being there. I had photos in this but I don't know if they loaded.
So I'll write out the stuff. Um… version information: 22.4.3231 (build 22.4.7175.724)
Disabling this one thing seems to let me internet work… (enable HTTPS scanning) but… that's not a fix, right? This doesn't seem ok. Shouldn't ALL aspects be enabled for maximum protection? This doesn't feel like it should be a thing.
I feel slightly more secure knowing I don't have to disable the web sheild entirely… So thank you for that. Is this component important? the one I disabled. I evidently do not know anything about technology other than… you know… generic stuff.
Anyway, thanks for help thus far. More information needed
I have found this question many times and the answers given have not worked.
I have checked updates - it's all updated to the current internet security. I have reset my laptop like 10 times in the last 24 hours.
What is the point of internet security if I cannot have it activated to use anything on my browser that isn't AVG related, or for some reason google? I can google things. But alas, the web page I click on comes up with a connection error. I deactivate the internet security and it's suddenly connected. And no, it's not some sketchy website. For example, trying to load a hospital website does not work, Youtube and so on.
Help?
That isn't reset/make sure your updates are updates. Because I've done that. Next idea please.
