I bought AVG Internet Security on 8/2/17, Order Number: 701-******.
I downloaded it and everything was working fine. I wanted to cancel the automatic renewal. The email stated that I wouldn't get a refund, but I would retain access to the product I purchased until its expiration, which should be 8/2/18.
Today, something weird happened and I noticed I didn't have Full Protection, that I only had Basic Protection. The program asked if I wanted full protection, with a firewall. Obviously I do since I paid for it just over 4 months ago. So I clicked on something to the effect of, yes, give me full protection.
Now, the expiration date states it's 1/15/2018. I'm super confused because I paid for Internet Security in August and now it's reverted to a FREE Trial.
All I wanted to do was cancel the Automatic Renewal… I've had AVG for several years, but I don't like that it automatically renews.
Can you please help get my paid subscription back?
