Yes, Internet Security is coming up as disabled again. At least it's not because I have my Network set to private.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem once and for all?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. The fix appears to have worked. I followed the repair directions, rebooted my computer, and AVG Internet Security was active. However, in looking in the Programs list, I found 2 listings for AVG, one dated April 2017 and one May 2017. I repaired the May version. When I tried to uninstall the April version, it asked me for the key to install it. What is going on there?
Customer support spent about 2 hours recently uninstalling and reinstalling AVG on my laptop. Internet Security came up activated for a while, but now the problem is back. Is it possible that AkrutoSync is causing problems?. I had to change the network setting from Public to Private for AkrutoSync to work.
Every time I turn on my computer, Internet Security is disabled. I click the turn on button, don't need to reboot, and everything is fine. It is a very annoying problem. Does anyone have a solution?

Please check if you again see two AVG Protection entries in the installed programs list. Also, please check if you have any other anti virus program installed on your PC and remove it.
ONly one copy of AVG Protection and AVG PC Cleaner. No other anti-virus. Could the Firefox firewall be causing me problems. Internet Security again disabled this morning at turn-on.
