Internet Security trial to AntiVirus FREE - not a smooth transition... stupid prompt

Hello Bryna,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I would suggest you to run AVG Clear and AVG Remover tools to remove traces of current installation completely and re install AVG Antivirus free. Please make sure that you choose to install "Basic version" while installing.

Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.

Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No"
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"

After restart, run AVG Remover and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework,…) as suggested in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG .

I took the Internet Security free trial, but that's now expired, and ever since then the prompt to pay for Internet Security has prevented me from getting into AntiVirus FREE. I tried getting past the prompt by 'taking another route to it,' so to speak, and I've tried uninstalling and redownloading AVG entirely, but thus far, nothing's gotten rid of that annoying prompt.
