Hello Dominic,
We are sorry that AVG User Interface shows error in your PC and unable to scan with it. Please run AVG Clear tool to remove AVG Internet Security unlimited and reinstall it using the below instructions.
1 Use the link https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe to run the AVG Clear tool.
2 Open the AVG Clear tool, click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
3 Click No in the Windows safe mode dialog.
4 Select the installed version of AVG. Then click Uninstall, and Restart computer.

When I try to open INTERNET Security I get the message " UI failed to load" in a large black error message box. It says I'm still protected but won't open INTERNET Security for me to schedule a scan.
