I cannot get AVG to let servers and services through the firewall anymore. I installed unlimited today, big mistake. on one computer it has killed teh minecraft server, the ark server and the perforce server, on this computer its stopper twonky media server from working.
These things work, when the broken avg firewall is disabled, but then why bother insatalling the software firewall at all if it cant do its job properly ? I've deleted its broken assumed rules, then forced it to ask, and have enabled everything, yet still wont work with the firewall component turned on.
I've never had avg work in such a poor manner. and the fact it does the same things on 2 separate computers points to the fact the new version is rubbish. I used to recommend and install this on family and friends machines, but now the service is so shit I cant see the benefit.
Anyone got access to NEW instructions ( as the documentation is dated and doesnt even have the right current version) on how to fix this bullshit ? I was better off paying for individual licenses. at least then it did its job. for the moment i've had to disable the firewall completely on one machine and revert to windows firewall, and am considering doing the same on this. Woindows firewall is the pits, but its still not as fucked as the avg one is.
