Internet Security won't launch from AVG Zen

Just downloaded and installed AVG Ultimate.  Works great on a newer desktop.
 Installed it on a 4 yr old laptop with Windows 8.  The Zen interface is loaded up and it says that "Protected" under Internet Security, but when I try to open it, the new window only says "loading" and never progresses.  

I think AVG is conflicting with another antivirus software.  This laptop previously had Norton & Webroot on it.  I unistalled Norton, but Webroot was never properly uninstalled (couldn't figure out how).  There is no Webroot icon, so I'm not sure what it is fighting with.

Any suggestions how to get through this?
