It might be because of windows updates, any third party conflict or AVG virus definitions unable to update. Please let us know which version of AVG program you have installed on your computer, if possible please share a screenshot of the AVG user interface page to assist you further. Kathy, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
