We understand your concern and we can see that you have AVG Ultimate which is valid until 5-14-2019. To install the paid version of AVG Ultimate we need to remove the AVG existing traces. To remove the AVG Traces please run the below tools.
AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe
1.Open tool
2.User Account control - click "Yes"
3.Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compatibility)
4.Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
5.Click "Uninstall"
6.Click "Restart computer"
AVG Remover tool: http://files-download.avg.com/util/tools/AVG_Remover.exe
Once you finished with above tools please restart your PC and follow the below link to install AVG Ultimate.

The program says that I don't have full protection. when I click on the messages, it states that a restart is required and that it is connecting. The program never connects. I have restarted the system manually, but this doesn't fix the issue. The system is connected by cable not wireless as well.
