IntSec version 16.161.8048 fix now does not work

Vishnu
Thank you for replying so quickly to my concern.
Actually, I became impatient and, using your website info, removed AVG version I had, using removal tool, then re-installed program.
Everything is working fine now.
I do have a question for you:
Why is it that AVG, with a great reputation, does not have a procedure in place for notifying subscribers about out-dated programs? It would seem that at very least an e-mail advising us software is out of date along with instructions, or ideally, an automated update protocol within your system. I spent several hours (with zero knowledge) resolving my issue, and I think this should be avoided.
Another question please:
I notice that VPN is free to existing subscribers. Is this correct, and if so, how to proceed?
Thank you                         Tom Frost

Hi Tom,

We will certainly check this for you.

We see that are still using the old version of AVG Internet Security program on your PC.

We have to remove the old version and then we have to install the latest version of AVG Internet Security program to resolve this issue.

We suggest to use our AVG clear and remover tool by referring to this article to remove the old version of AVG Internet Security and its traces, then reinstall the latest version of AVG Internet Security application by following the instructions given in this article and check with the issue.

Internet Security ver 16.161.8048
shows computer not protected and "fix now"
fix now updates definitions and pop up indicates update complete
but screen still shows computer not protected and "fix now"
do I remove program and re-install or what?

That's great to hear.

Thank you for providing us the valuable feedback.

We will forward it to our developers to implement those features in our upcoming updates.

And AVG Secure VPN is not free for existing customers, however you can try the trial subscription for AVG Secure VPN program.
