Hello, Subrata.
Please try keep whole conversation in one question/thread to speed up resolution. I certainly understand this must be a disruption. Our developers are still working on a fix for this issue and we recommend you to reinstall AVG to get the latest definitions for better protection.
Subrata,
Sorry for the delay in responding. To analyze it further, I need to submit your concern to our senior technicians along with other diagnostic logs.
I have sent you an email with steps on how to collect and upload the data required for analyzing your issue. Please check your inbox and spam/junk folder as well.
When I try to update my AVG Internet Security it shows "Invalid file signature.setup will terminate".
Avinash. If I reinstall, how will that get me the latest deinitions since there seems to be a general access problem to virus definition updates for the past 5 days?
Like Ray Bruneau states neither the definitions nor program update. Both give the same message
"Invalid file signature, setup will terminate"
I did a repair install to no avail. Program warns me my definitions are 7 days old.
This is in AVG AntiVirus Free.
reinstalling is not possible.please try to solve the problem from your end. Thanks for your prompt response.
Hello John,
I understand the inconvenience caused, let's work together to fix this issue. The issue might be because of old/previous AVG traces. In this case, i request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG Free Antivirus. This will ensure that none of the previous traces of AVG are left on your computer and you have an updated version.
Please follow the instruction ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product ) to run AVG Remover tool and AVG Clear tool.
After the computer reboots, you can follow the instruction to download/install AVG Free Antivirus.
Best regards,
Alok.

Same issue, except I note that it also affects the product update as well as virus definitions. Don't see how it could be caused by anything other than a boo-boo with the update files, perhaps with MDS checksum?
Avinash, I also have the same problem. I have not had a virus definition update now for 5 days, saying the same "invalid file signature, setup will terminate. Must be a problem from your end as I have repaired and rebooted the computer and still saying the same thing. My last virus defination number is 180228-6. I have already installed twice, not good enough. My subscription ends in September, maybe I will find someone else as having same many problems over the past 3 month.
