IObit malware (placed in C:\ProgramData\IObit)

Hello,
I am sorry for being late in replying.

Generally I pay lot of attention to don't use fake settups but it could happen.
I checked and there is nothing strange installed on my PC at the moment.

Generally I use IE11 and FF as well. The redirect issue seems to be solved after IE cache cleanup while it still occurs on FF (after its cache cleanup) and, in particular, on the ebay website.

Thanks

Thanks

Hello Damiano,

I understand the inconvenience. Have you received any error message when trying to remove the threat? Please provide the screenshot [http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot] of the threat message to check and assist further.

Hello,
on my Win7 x64 updated to the last MS updates and by running AVG IS since before getting the infection in object, I am not able to remove it.
I have already tried some removal too like adwcleaner or malwaerebytes that identify it but are not able to completely remove the infection.
My problem is that AVG completely ignores it.
What can I do ?

Thanks

If you don't see any of such programs then please open your browser and you need to delete the unwanted plugin, extension, toolbar or search bar that is installed in your browser. Then reset your browser's, after removing such things you wont be getting any popups/ redirection when you browse the internet.

Restart your device and check with it. If the issue persists, share the screenshot of those websites to assist you further. We are here if you need further help.

Damiano, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
