Hello Murray,
We are glad to help you.
IP block timeout set for 1800000. It is the default value, which is equal to 30 minutes. Increasing this value can lead to false positive detections. To know more about AVG firewall, please refer the following article :

I am unable to find adequate information which explains the functions or range of settings for the IP block timeout. I discovered the current IP block timeout is set at 180000 milliseconds which is equivalent to 30 minutes. Is thirty minutes the correct IP block timeout period? My aim is to avoid any vulnerabilities.
Settings,
Full Protection,
Enhanced Firewall,
Enable automatic port scan detection,
IP block timeout (1800000)
Thank you for your help making sure this is correct and safe.
