IP configuration disabled by avg can't access Internet can't fix

Hello Colin,
We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please follow the instructions to change the Firewall settings : Open AVG Zen -> Internet Security -> Click on Menu in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> Change the networks from Public to Private (If it is in Private, change it to Public). Also, on the Same Firewall settings, drag down to bottom and click on "System Rules" and enable all the configuration.

Avg update failed but left with dashboard which has disabled my IP configuration so it's a circular problem. Can't fix because need access to Internet but avg is blocking access. Connected but can't access network. This is a monstrous bad intrusion on my laptop. Using my tablet for this message.
Support Centre utterly useless. How do I unblock avg block on my IP configuration which stops me from accessing Internet to fix it?
