I want to allow an ip address/address range for remote desktop connection. I have added the ip of my laptop to the avg firewall on the pc I am looking to connect to but cannot ping it in command line. I have dissable the avg vpn and checked the current ipv4 address. My question is do I have to whitelist in the windows firewall settings as well or does avg override these. And are the other settings in AVG protection to allow this?
Kind regards,
Oliver Noakes
I am still unable to connect and have disabled avg vpn as well I have obtained the ip from the network properties and also ipconfig in the command line. But can still not ping the pc I am trying to remote to?
