Is anything in AVG blocking access to my bank account?

I can not access by bank account without providing a verification code.  Is any in AVG preventing me from accessing my bank account?

From your description, it seems that the banking website has 2 step verification on it.
To check whether AVG is causing the issue, you can disable AVG protection temporarily.
Please let us know whether you're connected to internet through AVG Secure VPN.
